I'd like to introduce myself.
My education began in a two room school in the small town of Nielsville, MN, located in the heart of the Red River Valley. My education journey moved on to high school and eventually took me to Minnesota State Mankato where I earned a BS in English with a minor in Library Science. My Master's degree in Library Science was also earned from Minnesota State Mankato. I continue to attend conferences and workshops to keep up with new developments in my field.
I am married to a wonderful man, John, and we live in Shoreview, MN. My outdoor neighbors include deer, wild turkeys, owls, hawks, coyotes, and other creatures. I have worked at Minnehaha Academy for over thirty years and enjoy helping students develop a love for reading. As you might expect, I love to read in both print and electronic form. My greatest pleasures, in addition to being a librarian, include singing, bell ringing, rubber stamping, quilting and gardening. I enjoy traveling, and in 2008 spent three weeks living in Alnwick Castle in Northern England where parts of the first two Harry Potter movies were filmed. Here's a piece of trivia that you may not know about me - when I was a college student I spent two summers working at Yellowstone Park.
