Hi! I’m Kari Fields and I love working as the Middle School Dean of Students. This is my 10th year here and I came to the Middle School myself as a new student in 8th grade. I have a B.A. in Spanish Education from Concordia College, an M.A. in Educational Administration from St. Mary’s University and a License for Secondary School Administration from St. Mary’s University. I taught high school Spanish for five years and was a Dean of Students or an Assistant Principal at three public high schools before working at Minnehaha Academy. I am married to a great husband, have two fabulous daughters and a fun dog . I love spending time with my family and friends, doing things outside, walking our dog, biking, playing tennis and swimming.
As a Dean of Students, I spend my whole day being with kids, parents and teachers. It is an honor to work with students on discipline issues, problem solving, peer issues, personal issues and helping them become who they are meant to be. My door is always open for students and parents who want to talk and need help on issues. It is great to work at a school where we truly do not let any kids fall through the cracks. It is great to be able to know every student well. I enjoy helping make MA a safe and comfortable place where students love to come to school!
