The Millstone Township First Aid Squad has been a vital part of our community since 1954. Up until November 2016, we were staffed 100% by volunteer EMTs from our community. Beginning November 2016, we now contract per diem EMTs through Western Monmouth EMS and work closely with Englishtown-Manalapan First Aid. Utilizing paid EMTs has enabled us to provide 24 hr coverage for Millstone Township residents with much less reliance on asking our neighbors for mutual aid. The current arrangement has improved response times and a more reliable response.

Update: Beginning January 1, 2018, management of the First Aid Squad was taken over by a new EMS Board headed by Councilman, OEM Coordinator Mike Kuczinski and his Deputy OEM Coordinator, Fire Lt. Mike Maloney. The majority of the board members decided not to renew the contract with WMEMS for 2019 even though they haven't finalized alternatives to provide EMS services to the town. The township hopes to save money by utilizing the fire department in hiring and supervising per diem EMTs to staff the once volunteer first aid squad.
