Milaca Area Scholarships

Scholarships will be added to this site as the information is received by Milaca High School. Most of our local scholarships begin to be advertised after Winter Break. Check back regularly for new additions!

The biggest scholarship program available to Milaca High School students in the Milaca Scholarship Foundation/ Dollars for Scholars Program. The application for this year's graduates will be available in January.

St. Cloud Rox Project S.A.V.E. Foundation Scholarship Award: an opportunity to win one of FIVE $2,000 Scholarships. The deadline to apply is April 30, 2021.

Minnesota School Counselors Association: $500 scholarship. The deadline to apply is October 19th, 2020. Applicants must explain how a School Counselor impacted their life. Milaca High School is part of the Central Division.

Chamber's "Unite for Success" Scholarship program : There will be two different scholarships: Central MN Farm show ($1000.00) also Glenn J. Imholte/Chamber Connection ($500.00) to complete an application and see scholarship outlines visit ( then click 'High School & College Scholarships on the left - hand column tabs).

East Central Energy : has an opportunity to win one of THREE $1,500.00 Scholarships. The deadline to apply is April 1st, 2021. See pdf below. Scholarship eligibility and program requirements

  1. Students who are being considered for an ECE scholarship must be an ECE member or son or daughter of an ECE member. Please provide the student name, address and phone number as well as their parent/guardian name, physical address and phone number to ECE before the student is notified of the scholarship. ECE will verify their eligibility.

  2. Students must pick up a form from the Student Service Office or ask your counselor. Complete it and give it back to their school counselor.

14th Annual Allina Health Orthopedics Sports Medicine Scholarships: Allina Health Orthopedics will be offering TWO $2,500 scholarships, which will be awarded annually to one female and one male student athlete who intends to attend college to pursue a career in sports medicine. Deadline for the scholarship is must be post marked by March 1st, 2021. See pdf below.

Minnesota Telecom Alliance Foundation scholarship program: Will be offering SIX $2,000.00 scholarships eligible to applicants majoring in either Telecommunications or Information Technology (IT) at a university, college, or technical college and be a Minnesota resident.

Applications must be submitted to Benton Communications by February 19, 2021. Student may send the properly completed applications to Benton Communications, Attn: Cheryl Scapanski/MTA Scholarship Application, 2220 125th Street NW Rice, MN, 56367-9701.

Benton Communications Scholarship: Will be issuing FOUR - $750.00 Scholarships whose parents or legal guardians have communications service with Benton Communications.

To apply for a scholarship, the senior will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Parents or legal guardians have telephone service with Benton Telephone

  • Grade point average must be at least 2.5 (transcript needs to be included)

  • Short essay 50- 100 words of their career plans

  • Include a graduation picture (for publication purposes if they are the recipient of the scholarship)

Completed applications should be sent directly to Benton Cooperative Telephone Company, postmarked no later than March 31,2021.

Benton Communications National Scholarship program: receive ONE $2,500.00 scholarship and will be eligible for other scholarships with submitting ONE application list of scholarships are on the website.

East Central Pork Producers Scholarship: They are giving out scholarships as much as $500.00 per recipient. For students planning to study a field related to agriculture. To be considered you need to live in Isanti, Pine, Kanabec or Mille Lacs county. Will need a letter of recommendation and also obtain at least a 2.0 GPA for the first quarter/semester of studies. SPIRE Credit Union Scholarship: Offering THREE $1,000.00 for graduating seniors that have at least a 2.0 GPA and be a SPIRE member for details on the essay scholarship and all applications will only be accepted only at

Bill Sandy Pheasants Forever Scholarship: Mille Lacs/Benton Pheasants Forever Chapter 19 will award up to Four $500.00 Scholarships. For students seeking a degree in the area of natural resources, biology, wildlife management or forestry. Applicants must attend a four year college or a two year and have a 2.5 or higher GPA.

Deadline is March 27, 2021 applications will be in the Student Service Office.

Federated Co - Ops Inc. Scholarship Program: Offering up too $1000.00 to the students that are selected. Requirements:

  • School District Senior [of the school they are applying through]

  • Federated Co-ops, Inc. member or current employee [supply member/customer#] MUST CONFIRM PRIOR TO AWARD

  • Financial need a factor in consideration.

  • Student must enroll in a two-year or four-year accredited college. Educational focus being

Agronomy, Energy, Retail, or a service industry is preferred. (i.e., mechanic school)

Ann Lake Watershed Alliance Scholarship: Offering one $300.00 to a student going for a 2 or 4 year degree in Environmental Science, Earth Science. The recipient most held a minimum of a 3.0 Grade point Average first or second semester/quarter (not cumulative).

Deadline is April 17, 2021 applications will be in the Student Service Office.

St. Cloud State NSF- Noyce STEM Teacher Scholarship: The Husky STEM Teacher Scholars project aims to serve the national need to produce high-quality Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics teachers who are prepared to address student learning in high-needs, diverse school settings.

Benefits In partnership with • Earn $1500 per semester and serve as a leader in the Learning Assistant Program at ARCC, SCTCC, or SCSU • Full cost of attendance (tuition, fees, room/board, etc.) scholarship for your last four semesters at SCSU • Serve in under-represented schools • Make a tangible and practical difference in the lives of students

Qualifications/Requirements :

• Be enrolled at Anoka Ramsey Community College, St. Cloud Technical and Community College

or St. Cloud State University with the intention of completing a degree at SCSU.

• Apply and be accepted as a Learning Assistant in Mathematics, Chemistry or Physics courses.

• Complete a double major in Mathematics and Mathematics Education, Chemistry and Chemistry

Education, or Physics and Physics Education.

• Participate in project activities with the learning community and mentor teachers.

• Teach for four years in a high-need K-12 district after graduation.

Mille Lacs County 4-H Federation: As an active 4-H member who is planning on attending a 2-4 year college, Technical program or certificate program. Scholarship winners could receive up to $250.00 for tuition costs and class materials. Completed application is due Wednesday, March 31, 2021 to the Extension office.

Mille Lacs Area Health Foundation is offering two Scholarships for students planning going into Healthcare.

  • The Mille Lacs Area Health Foundation Healthcare Scholarship: is a $1000.00 scholarship for

students entering General Healthcare Field of study only.

  • The Clareen Wilson-Nyquist RN Scholarship is a $1,000.00 for students entering the Registered

Nursing Field of study only. Nursing students may apply for both scholarships.
