           Mrs Savila Thapermall

              Area(s) of specialisation: 
              Responsibilities :

             I am the course coordinator for TDS(FT), BEd(PT) and co-course coordinator for the HEP
             programme. I am also the QARP for the department. In addition, I was the coordinator for
             the Grade 3 Mathematics Textbook, Grade 7 Mathematics textbook and am the
             coordinator for the Grade 8 Mathematics textbook. I also formed part of the Grades 1, 3
             and 6 Mathematics textbook panel; member of the Evaluation of the Teacher Education
            Programmes committee.


             Research interest(s):

             (i) Mathematics anxiety at primary and secondary level
           (ii) Role of support teachers at lower primary level
            (iii) Curriculum development
            (iv) Use of new curriculum materials in primary and secondary schools
