#1 KEY CLUB IN THE WORLD!! AGENDA/NEWSLETTER www.murphykeyclub.com October 5, 2016
CALL TO ORDER KEY CLUB PLEDGE “I pledge on my honor to uphold the objects of Key Club International; to build my home, school and community; to serve my nation and God; and to combat all forces which tend to undermine these institutions.” INTRODUCTION OF GUESTS TREASURER’S REPORT: If you made arrangements with Mr. Hall to pay dues late, please get those in ASAP. REPORTS OF RECENT AND ONGOING ACTIVITIES: Remind 101: If you haven’t signed up, please do. Canned Food: 4 cans for 1 hour with a max of 3 hours each month. Bring cans to A67 before school. Candy Sales: 2 hours credit for a $25 bag. Candy can be picked up in A67. No Shows: This last week has been much better with only one or two. Thanks for working on this. Committees: Some are ready and will be announced tonight. Others will be announced at the next meeting. Member “Bank’: The board has decided to do this on a trial basis this year. Basically each member will have a ‘bank’ where a percentage of their fund-raising efforts will be recorded (Ex: $5 for each bag of candy). The member will not get actual cash, but when it comes time for such things as the North Carolina trip or District Convention/Leadership Conference, they can ‘withdraw’ from their bank to help pay costs. This will include greenery sales. This way members are rewarded for helping raise funds. UPCOMING PROJECTS AND SIGN-UPS: Greenery Sales: This is our biggest fund-raiser of the year with some members selling over $1,000 worth. It is one of the 4 activities all members agree to when joining. Just ask people. Please push this. One major problem: 3 wreaths (Voyageur, Itascan and Lake Superior) are not on the long sales sheet but are on everything else. Unless you sell UPS for those, go to the back page and mark out the UPS and substitute to correct price for those wreaths. They are some of our best sellers so this is fairly major.
