Mooresville schools have adopted the Big6™ as our primary research process. It provides a helpful model for approaching information problems. Overview of the Big6

We have many reliable resources for information, for example: NC WiseOwl, icurio, and Discovery Eduction.

M.I.S. has a diverse collection of reading materials, in print, audio, and digital formats. Search our catalog and find links to online reading sites using Destiny.

We have celebrated reading with a Lunch Bunch club, participation in the NC Children's Book Award program, and the Bobcat Book Count.

M.I.S. is a Common Sense Media Certified School, in recognition of our use of the Common Sense Media digital citizenship curriculum. We explore ideas such as responsible digital citizenship, privacy, copyright, and cyberbullying. The Common Sense Media web site has a wealth of resources for families as well.
