Students have the potential to earn 32 credits in 4 years at Mooresville High School; 8 credits per year.  28 credits are required to graduate from MHS.

*The MGSD School Board requires all MHS graduates complete a Senior Project.  The senior project is completed during a student’s senior year while in senior English class.

See document below for specific requirements/courses needed to obtain NC Scholar.

MHS graduates who meet these requirements will be notified at graduation practice.  Graduates receive a gold seal on their diploma if they receive the NC Scholars award. NC Scholar is also read after their name at the graduation ceremony.

The gpa requirement for NC Scholar is an unweighted 3.5 gpa.

How do MHS graduates receive the Honor Graduate recognition on graduation day?

If a senior's final gpa (grade point average) is a  weighted 3.6 or above, then you will be deemed an Honor Graduate of Mooresville High School and receive a gold tassel to wear at graduation.  These tassels are given out at graduation practice.
