About Me

Hi, and welcome to first grade! I'm very excited for this school year because it is my third year teaching. In May 2017, I graduated from Appalachian State University (Go 'Neers!) with my Bachelors in Elementary Education. I have taught 1st grade at Rocky River for four years. I also was honored with the Beginning Teacher of the Year Award for Rocky River Elementary School in the Spring of 2019.

I currently live in Charlotte, NC with my parents and siblings. We have a dog named Zeus, and he's a Boxer/Hound mix. He's five, huge, and I wouldn't have it any other way! This summer, we also adopted another dog named Chance, and he's a 2-year-old pitbull mix!

I'm extremely passionate about teaching, and I have a lot of love for reading and social studies. When I'm not in Mooresville teaching, you can find me at home playing with my dogs, going on adventures throughout Charlotte with my closest friends (which usually includes us making a pit-stop at Target at some point), or watching some sort of documentary on Netflix!
