MHS Educators Rising Receives $2500 Grant

The Metter High School Educators Rising Club was recently awarded an Education Foundation grant in the amount of $2500 to assist in the overall expenses for the club members to attend the National Conference this summer. The conference will be held in Boston, Massachusetts, in June.
Club Members attending the conference will compete in several individual events and a group impromptu teaching competition. Additionally, members will participate in break-out sessions and a community service event and explore historic venues.
This is the second year in a row the Education Foundation has awarded the club a grant to attend the National Conference. Last year, seven students attended the conference in Washington D.C.

Nancy Norton was proud to represent the Candler County Foundation for Public Education when presenting a check to Toney Golden, Metter Band Director, to help purchase band uniforms.
