Candler County Schools offers the following benefits to its full-time, benefits-eligible employees:

New employees have thirty-one (31) days from their date of hire to enroll in benefits. Two separate Annual Open Enrollment periods take place during the year allowing any employee to add, cancel or change coverage without penalty. These Open Enrollment periods occur as follows:
State Health Benefit Plan (Medical Only) - Mid October through early November
Hadden Insurance (Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Disability, Cancer, Accident, Critical Illness and Teladoc) - Mid March to early April
Do I have to participate in Open Enrollment? You only participate in open enrollment if you need to add benefits, make changes or updates to your current benefits. You are encouraged to review and update insurance beneficiaries.
How do I add or update State Health Benefit Plan (Medical) benefits? To add or update State Health Benefit Plan (Medical Only) benefits call 1-800-610-1863 or visit the State Health Benefit Plan website. The enrollment code is SHBP-GA.
How do I add or update my benefits with Hadden Insurance (Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Disability, Cancer, Accident, Critical Illness, Teladoc and Flex Spending)? To add or update these benefits, you will call 912-685-6310 or, visit the Candler County Schools Employee Benefits Website, or schedule a one-on-one meeting with benefits personnel.
