Live Trainings and Online Trainings

CTA hosts trainings for users on a variety of topics.  Click here to view our upcoming Synergy trainings and register for them.  

We recommend for all new users to start with registering for Synergy 101 and completing that training before signing up for any others.  

When you register for a training, please do not share your login credentials with other users.  We would appreciate it if every participant signed up with a unique district email address.  Thank you!

Note: We have completed scheduled trainings for the start of the 2017-18 school year. Please see our online videos for trainings you can view at any time, or contact you Synergy District IT contact to see what trainings may be offered by your district directly.

 Course Description  Recommended Participants  Available Trainings
Synergy 101- this is the introductory course for anyone using the Synergy product from a school or central office perspective. It includes login, navigation, find, filter, report interface and other activities presented in the context of the student screen. 2 hours Secretaries, registrars, counselors, central office support staff, school administrators, anyone who will be accessing Core Synergy 
Enrollment - this course covers adding and editing demographic, enrollment (of new and transfer students), parent, emergency contact, and other student specific information. It also includes immunizations, programs, and groups. 2 hours Secretaries, registrars, and support staff involved with student enrollment, student programs or teams and groups  
Daily Attendance - session for daily attendance includes a review of the school calendar, attendance codes and options, how to take attendance by student or class. We will discuss basic daily attendance reports. 2 hours Elementary secretaries    
Period Attendance - session for period attendance includes a review of the school calendar, attendance codes and options, hot to take attendance by student, class or through mass update. We will discuss basic period attendance reports. 2 hours Secondary attendance secretaries    
Discipline - includes how to enter and edit discipline incidents along with running reports related to incidents. 1 hour School support personnel responsible for student discipline (school secretaries and administrators)
Health - Covers how to add medical conditions to a student's record, entering immunization data and using the nurses' log. School health personnel.
Walk-In Scheduling - This class goes over how to create a schedule for a brand new student and how to edit a schedule for a current student. We will discuss the Pro's and Con's of the Walk In Schedule screen as well as more accurate scheduling tools. We will review how to successfully and safely remove classes from a student's schedule. 2 hours Secondary secretaries, counselors and administrators
Course History - covers update of student course history, adding new and editing existing course history. Also covered is reporting related to course history information and moving current-year final grades to course history, 2 hours School secretaries and counselors at the secondary level
TeacherVUE/Grade Book Elementary (Train the Trainer) - TeacherVUE training includes logging in and navigating in TeacherVUE, setup details and preferences, accessing students, taking attendance and viewing demographic information and reports. Grade Book topics include adding and grading assignments, grade book preferences and setup and entering marks to the report card.

TeacherVUE/Grade Book Secondary (Train the Trainer) - TeacherVUE training includes logging in and navigating in TeacherVUE, setup details and preferences, accessing students, taking attendance and viewing demographic information and reports. TeacherVUE/Grade Book - Advanced (Train the Trainer) - The advanced TVUE class covers topics meant for users who have been using Grade Book throughout the year. Topics covered include sharing grade books, creating break out classes, term weighting and various other Grade Book tips and tricks. 2 hours Administrators or teacher leaders who will be training teachers on the use of TeacherVUE and Grade Book
New Year Setup - Training/work session preparing districts for the next school year. Covers School Setup, Grading Setup, Attendance Setup as well as other setup areas. District or school admins.
