About Mr. Bates
I am originally from the Chicago area, and spent 27 years on the south-west side and in the south suburbs. I attended Governors State University, where I earned my Bachelor's Degree (Elementary Education) and my additional certificate in middle school sciences.
After college, I moved west, spending two years in Colorado and six years in Arizona, teaching biology, fourth grade, and middle school science.
After those years out west, I moved back towards my home town and began teaching here in Illinois.
