Founded in 2013 by partners Ricardo Cunha-Vaz and Gonçalo de Mello, Menlo Capital developed its activities as a private equity management company until mid-2026. During this period, Menlo Capital had two private equity funds under management – the SC1 Fund and the MC1 Compartments Fund, which together totalized €50 million in subscribed capital and investments in 9 companies.
Currently, Menlo Capital is exclusively dedicated to deal-by-deal projects, mobilizing capital from qualified and successful investors, boosting the expansion of companies in strategic sectors. Among the highlighted investments are:
− Surfers Cove, which is part of Portugal's first wave pool and is establishing itself as a new benchmark in tourism and nautical sports;
− Luso Viriato, a nationwide consolidation operation in the funeral sector;
− Inocambra, a company specialized in metal structures with a clear ambition for growth in international markets;
− FeelViana, a benchmark sports hotel that reinforces the offer of active tourism in Portugal, with a special focus on nautical tourism and cycling, combining excellent hospitality with a strong vocation for outdoor sports.
These projects reflect Menlo Capital's strategy of creating value and boosting sectors with high growth potential, economic impact and tourism relevance, based on solid experience in the conception, development and expansion of businesses.
