Class Name: Oceanography

Description: Course Prerequisites: Successful completion of Integrated Science II  Graduation Requirements Met:  This semester long course is an elective that meets one of the 3 science credits required for graduation.  Course Description:  Focus on physical, chemical and biological aspects of the ocean.  This class spends a great deal of time looking at ocean acoustics in relation to arctic marine mammals and marine protected areas.  Partnerships with Scripps Institution of Oceanography and National Geographic make this class an exciting and authentic scientific adventure.
