Class Name: Nonfiction Literature
Taught By: Michael Hay

Description:  Course Prerequisites: Juniors or Seniors.  Graduation Requirements Met:  This semester long course counts as an elective grade or as a make up grade for a failed required English course.  Course Description:  This is an English elective for juniors or seniors who, first, enjoy reading.  Because most of the reading we do (in college, on the job, or in everyday life) is nonfiction, it is important to develop the tools to critically approach different types of nonfiction.  Students will explore high-interest nonfiction books and articles primarily through small group and class discussions.
