  • Home Reading We will launch our home reading program for the school year this coming week. In 2nd Grade, students are expected to read for at least 15 minutes, five nights per week.  Your child will bring home a reading log and bag of specially selected books to support this reading.  After reading, your child will write the title, pages and minutes read.  I will collect these logs on the following Monday, and pass out a fresh log for that week.   Please help your child accomplish this task!    Feel free to contact me by phone 667-8447 or email arhode@mdirss.org if you have any questions about reading homework.

  • First Day Celebration! Mark your calendars!  Not only is September 2nd our first day of school, it is also our First Day Pancake Breakfast and Celebration!  For the 11th year, volunteers from the Trenton Fire Department will prepare pancakes for our families, students and staff.  The breakfast starts at 7:30am.  Following our pancake feast, the Trenton School community will assemble in the gym to be welcomed by our new principal, Mike Zboray. Together we will kick off the start of what I know is going to be a fantastic school year!

  • Student Supply List Click the link to download our classroom supply list for the 2014-2015 school year. In 2nd Grade, our supplies are “Community Items” - No names on these supplies please!  We share with the class and use as needed. Please purchase PLAIN folders, spiral notebooks, pencils, and composition books as they become community property and will be distributed randomly!  If your child really wants personalized items, I suggest buying a few special things for a "study center" at home.  Also, it is fine to wait and bring supplies during our Open House so there's less to carry the first day of school.
