East Bay Section

Sunday, Oct. 22

The ARRL East Bay Section will host two items on Pacificon's Sunday morning schedule: a testing session for ARRL's EC-001 Introduction to Emergency Communications course and an open meeting of the ARRL East Bay Section.

ARRL EC-001 Emergency Communications Exam Session

9:00 AM - 10:00 AM
Hosted by East Bay Section Emergency Communications Coordinator John Rabold, EC-001 is designed to provide basic knowledge and tools for any emergency communications volunteer. Candidates for this exam will have studied the course materials on line, in a local Field Class, or by studying the course transcript, the ARRL Introduction to Emergency Communication Course, 4th Edition. Successful completion of this exam is one requirement for achieving the Full Member designation in ARRL East Bay Section ARES ("EB-ARES"). You must prepare yourself to take this examination in advance, on your own, and you must successfully complete its two prerequisite courses.

See our ARRL EC-001 Emergency Communications Exam page and the East Bay Section's page for full details.

ARRL East Bay Section Meeting

11:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Hosted by the East Bay Section Manager Jim Latham AF6AQ. Jim and his "cabinet" will be available to answer questions about our roles and responsibilities in the ARRL Field Organization. The meeting will be open to all Pacificon attendees.
