Library Media Center

In the 21st century, the role of a school library has transitioned into that of a library media center. Our Library Media Center still supports and encourages student interests in reading and literature, but as technology advances we must also build a solid foundation of skills for students to use throughout life.

Cover Release
I
am usually not so excited for book releases since the Harry Potter days.  Even Allegiant I have yet to read, and I loved Divergent and Insurgent!  But I will say, I can absolutely just not wait for "The One" by Kiera Cass.  I loved The Selection and the Elite.  Something about it was just so fresh and new to me...

NEWS

  • Happy Monday! I am currently reading a few books at the moment.  I am reading Fragile Eternity, part of the Wicked Lovely Series.  I actually ended up skipping the second book in this series because it is technically a 'Companion Book'.  So I'll let you know how well that works out for me.  I just did not love Wicked Lovely enough to read another book that takes place in the same fairy world.  However, I was still interested in finding out what happens to Ash, so yea!  My other books that I am reading are all 're-reads'.  I am currently trying to re-read Obsidian (Lux series).  I absolutely loved this series and if you have not heard of it ...

  • Cover Release: The One The One!I am usually not so excited for book releases since the Harry Potter days.  Even Allegiant I have yet to read, and I loved Divergent and Insurgent!  But I will say, I can absolutely just not wait for "The One" by Kiera Cass.  I loved The Selection and the Elite.  Something about it was just so fresh and new to me.  These books are Dystopian but what I loved the most about them is that society has reverted back to King and Queens.  I loved the relationship between the girls competing and the fact that each had to think of how to act in a way that would please the people and the King, Queen, and Prince.  I ...

Boo!!!Stop by the LMC to check out a great Spooky book TODAY!  A new display is up lavished in cobwebs, spiders, and ghosts.  Oh my!  You may have to sift through the spooky stuff in order to get to the books underneath, however I think you will find them eerily irresistible!

  • Book Review: Exceptional by Jess Petosa ExceptionalI really enjoyed this book.  There were definitely pros and cons, but for the most part it captured my favorite things I look for in a book.Petosa does an amazing job of creating a world around us that is unique and interesting, something never seen before.  I will say that the only negative to her world is that it can be very "super heroish."  I did feel that the special abilities and powers that some exceptionals possess resembles more fantasy rather than something that could actually happen in a future time.  However, I'm pretty simple to please, so I just accepted the fact that this book is part dystopian and part fantasy and I was able ...
