Northridge High School is committed to providing meaningful and challenging educational experiences to develop persons of character and responsibility who will confidently adapt to change in a global society.
The International Baccalaureate (IB) program helps us do this through its philosophy of educating the whole person. The IB learner profile supports Northridge's mission. It aims to produce students who are:
  • Balanced
  • Caring
  • Communicators
  • Courageous
  • Inquirers
  • Knowledgeable
  • Open-minded
  • Principled
  • Reflective
  • Thinkers
IB students develop these qualities through courses that encourage them to make connections between subjects and prepare students to be part of the constantly changing global community. As a pre-university course of study based on international standards, the IB program is infused with global consideration in every subject area. Students have an opportunity to study their subjects in depth across the curriculum, conduct independent research, perform complex assessments and develop compassion for others.
