Students in grades K- 5 have P.E. for 45 minutes twice a week and Pre-k students will have P.E. for 30 minutes twice a week.
Pre-K students will work on listening skills, as well as locomotor skills and basic movement skills.
Students in Kindergarten, First and Second grade will develop locomotor skills (walking, running, skipping, galloping, hopping and jumping), movement skills, hand eye foot coordination, physical fitness, sportsmanship, teamwork, and body control (the ability to move safely in personal and general space). Students also learn some sport related skills and lead up games.
In Third, Fourth and Fifth grade, students continue to work on all ideas listed above with an emphasis on physical fitness and sport related skills.
