What is our purpose?

Can Middle-Child syndrome be in today's school systems?  One group that are the most overlooked is the middle 50% of students.  These are students that may not be failing in school, but are still at risk for dropping out.  What are the reasons for this?  Loss of interest?  Unsure of life after school?  No real goals? These concerns are addressed through an adviser program called H.E.R.O.E.S (Helping Everyone Reach Optimal Educational Success).  This program helps push students to think of the future beyond high school.  Starting at the freshmen level, it helps students think of future goals with the first one set on obtaining an Advanced Diploma.  H.E.R.O.E.S is a stepping stool support system that will stay with the student throughout his or her high school career.  It's goal is to help students reach educational success through a network of advisers and to help start the process of thinking about college and life after graduation.
