Welcome to coached swimming: Who comes to adult coached swimming?
Triathletes, novice swimmers, returning to the water college/age group swimmers, fitness swimmers, people who want to workout with friends, people who like to socialize while working out, folks who are re-hab-ing an injury, Folks who like to compete, folks who do not like to compete the list goes on.....
Essentially, anyone who wants a coach to help them improve their current ability to swim.

In the video below Natalie Coughlin demonstrates and explains Freestyle mechanics. I looked at a few other videos for this section, but between funny voices, and poor technique demonstrated too often, we are going to use this one. Notice the key elements we have been talking about and working on: body line balance, legs, and "early high vertical forearm" (mid pull power phase).

ShoulderInjuryPrevention - Some of you have asked about how to keep your shoulders healthy. Great question, and here is the link to some great shoulder maintaining exercises (about slide # 16). I have used them and am amazed at the difference it makes, be sure to look at the images re: the important details. If you do have shoulder issues, please be sure to let your coach know. There are some technique changes that can make a huge difference in how it all feels.
