The mission of the Price's Fork PTA is to positively impact the lives of all children and families by representing our members, and empowering and supporting them with skills in advocacy, leadership and communications.

Last year was both productive and successful for the PTA; just a few of our accomplishments and responsibilities are:

  • Purchase of Math Seeds for 2015-2016, a math program for early math levels.

  • A subscription to Brain Pop that was requested by the teachers to help students learn SOLs.

  • Many successful fundraising events including Little Caesar's, Mixed Bags, Football Parking, Restaurant eat in's and the Fall Craft Show, as well as monetary donations from PFES families, friends, rewards programs (Box Tops, Kroger and Shelor) and businesses.

  • Cultural Arts events.

  • Classroom grants for all teachers.

  • Purchase of STEM cart, supplies and STEM kits.

  • Purchase of a class set of OZ bots and contribution towards a 3D printer.

  • Purchase of new books for the reading rooms in both wings.

  • Family fun events including Harvest Festival and Science Night. We also assist with the Pre-K/K back to school event, Back to School Night, Family Book Club Celebration, Shopping Cart Day, Field Day, fifth grade graduation, and with the Scholastic book fairs.

  • PTA helps run a school store called the Puma Pantry which carries fun school supplies students can purchase. The proceeds go to restocking the pantry and to student scholarships for field trips.

  • Coordinates volunteers for fundraising and fun events as well as for jobs around the school such as book helper, photocopying, gardening, etc.

  • Organizes and runs teacher appreciation week as well as monthly appreciation surprises for teachers and staff.

It is important to note that all programs and activities provided to your child through the PTA are made possible by volunteers and money earned through fundraising. For more information on how you can help visit the “Support our School” tab and “Rewards Programs” tab.

We both welcome and encourage parents, grandparents, community members and staff to attend every meeting.

The PTA is now sending a weekly update with current events, volunteer opportunities and other important information. If you have not signed up to receive these alerts, please complete the Weekly email sign up form (located in the PTA Welcome Packet).
