Welcome to Mrs. Rebholz Family and Consumer Sciences Website

FCS is the best...if you don't believe me just ask your friends!  Where else do you learn life skills which will help prepare you for your future?  The FCS curriculum  is awesome and you will learn so much about who you are, what you want from life and how to successfully take care of yourself.

In FCS you  learn about: decision making, problem solving, family, child development, nutrition, safety in the kitchen, how to read and follow a recipe, what talents and skills you have, what careers you may be interested in pursuing as a young adult, how to fill out a job application, write a resume, interview for a job, operate a sewing machine, how to be a savvy consumer, how to manage your money....WHEW!  And that's just the tip of the iceberg!

So...welcome to FCS.  I cannot wait to be your teacher and watch you grow into an independent young person!

I have been teaching at Glacier Creek for 17 years. Before teaching, I was an Interior Designer for 9 years. I live in Verona with my husband, a kindergarten teacher, and my three kids ages 17, 14 and 12 along with our puppy Tucker. We enjoy basketball, golf, playing Colorku and heading to a family cottage in Portage. I earned my Interior Design and Teaching degree at UW- Madison and my Masters in Education from Viterbo University.

Responsible. . . Be responsible for yourself and your actions.  This will eliminate most negative conflicts in this classroom.

Engage. . . yourself in the learning process by being on time, being prepared, completing your assignments, staying on task, listening, AND participating.

Smile. . . because a positive attitude is important and learning should be fun!

Pride. . . yourself in caring for your school, our classroom and lab equipment, AND your personal work area.

Experience. . . What you are learning by doing your own work and asking questions until you understand. Keep trying until you’ve GOT it!

Cooperate. . . With the teacher by following all school and classroom rules, as they will be enforced.

Team. . . Is what you become once you enter the classroom.  Treat others as you would like to be treated and remember that you DO NOT HAVE to “LIKE everybody,” but when you are in this classroom you do have to “GET ALONG” with everybody.
