Welcome to the official website for the McKinnon Secondary Sceptical Society.

We in the MSSS believe in asking questions. We do not accept blindly that which we are told. We will always consider the evidence presented, the likelihood of it being true and the reliability of the source, be it teacher, friend, acquaintance or the media.

We are not close-minded. We think carefully about everything we see, hear and read. Even if it seems implausible, we always consider the evidence. Only when we have done this do we make judgements.

The motto of the MSSS is the following quote from Cosmos, by Carl Sagan:

"Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence."

In other words, prove it!
