Arthur Mazirow received his Bachelor of Science Degree from the UCLA Anderson School of Management, specializing in real estate, and his J.D. from the UCLA School of Law. As an attorney, he has represented clients in several thousand real estate transactions involving purchases, sales, leasing, financing, brokerage, joint ventures, and development.

From 1972 to 1990, he was a principal author of the lease and purchase forms published by the American Industrial Real Estate Association (AIREA). He holds the CRE credential from The Counselors of Real Estate organization, where he is a past chair of the Dispute Resolution Management Committee.

In 2008 he was given the “Spirit of CEB” award by the Continuing Education of the Bar and the University of California “for his generous contribution to CEB and his service to the profession.” He was also the 2010 Outstanding Real Estate Lawyer Award Recipient awarded by the Los Angeles County Bar Association Real Property Section and was a consultant to the CEB on its book entitled “Ground Lease Practice,” Second Edition. He has been elected a Fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers. He is a member of the Real Property Law Section of the State Bar of California, the Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Section of the American Bar Association and the Real Property Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association. 

In 2013 he was the co-recipient of the first Real Property Person of the Year Award issued by the State Bar of California, Real Property Section, for advancing California’s real estate industry. 

In programs sponsored by the extension divisions of UCLA and the University of California system, the CEB, local Bar Associations and various real estate groups, he has given hundreds of lectures on real estate topics to lawyers and real estate professionals. He has also published more than 100 articles dealing with the legal aspects of real estate transactions. For more detailed information see www.mazirow.com. 

He has acted as an arbitrator since 1985. He now acts only as a neutral arbitrator and consultant in disputes where real estate is the core of the conflict. His arbitration activities are through the American Arbitration Association and independently. He is an arbitrator on the AAA Large Complex Case Panel of Arbitrators and on the Construction, Real Estate and Environmental Panel. He has also been designated as a trial referee under the Judicial Reference Procedure of the California Code of Civil Procedure. He has been employed as a real estate expert witness on behalf of The State Bar of California in a lawyer disciplinary trial before The State Bar Court.
