Homework: I will assign homework on a regular basis. Completing homework is part of the learning process for a variety of reasons. Homework may be practice of the day's lesson, an extension of the day's lesson, preview for the following day's lesson, review before an assessment, or an assessment. All homework assignments count towards the student's homework grade. Although homework appears on iPass, the scores in the homework category do not affect the student's term average.

Citizenship: Citizenship refers to how a student demonstrates the Fowler core values of Respect and Responsibility. These core values refer to a student’s interaction with other students and teachers, treatment of materials, and a student’s overall contribution to the learning environment. Citizenship is included in a student’s term grade.

Term 1 Grading: All categories are weighted
equally, but individual assignments are worth different points. The term average is calculate by adding all of the points the student earned on assignments and dividing that number by the total number of points assignments were worth. All work falls into one of the following categories: Literature, Writing, Word Work.
