The 2016-2017 school year marks 30 (yikes!) years of teaching for me.  Twenty-seven of those years have been at Maumee High School.  I often teach several sections of English 3, Honors English 11, and some of the the Spanish I and II and III honors and regular classes. (I've been known to start classes in the wrong language from time to time, but students are usually kindly tolerant of my slightly split teaching personality.)  I also enjoy working with the students in less formal situations. To that end, I team up with Mrs. LaBeau to advise student council, national honor society and the link crew program.

Outside of my school life, I turn most of my attention to my family. My husband Tom and I have two children, a son who just graduated from Butler University in Indianapolis and a daughter who is a sophomore at Wheaton College in Norton, MA.

Much of my summer this year was spent in the classroom studying literature and writing curriculum for a series of new eUnits. In my free time, I love to read (surprising, I know) and travel.
