We would like to describe two events taking place over three days,  March 16-18, 2017, on the campus of the University of Arizona, Tucson, AZ:  CIMAT-UA Research Workshop March 16-17, 2017, and RABI Fest March 18, 2017.

Registration is free, but we request signup at the link Registration for organizational purposes.  Junior participants are encouraged to submit a poster for the poster session on Mar 16 via this link. 

CIMAT-UA Research Workshop

The purpose of the CIMAT-UA workshop on March 16-17, 2017 is to foster interactions between researchers from CIMAT (Centro de Investigación en Matemáticas link) and those in mathematical sciences at the University of Arizona (UA link) and beyond.  This workshop builds on the success of the previous one organized by CIMAT June 2-3, 2016 link.

On March 16th, after informal interactions during the day, a poster session (see Registration to submit a title) and taco bar will be held in the late afternoon.  On March 17, there will be several talks given by researchers from CIMAT and UA.

RABI Fest



 
The focus of RABI Fest on March 18, 2016 is to celebrate themes in the research of Professor Rabi Bhattacharya, and to bring together researchers, regionally and nationally, who have interest in the areas of probability and statistics.  There will be several talks, given by distinguished friends.
