Chip Goudreau, Mike Linehan, Grid Losee, Jamie Luce, Dawn Seymour, Jon Sorenson, Jamie Tveter, and MEF’s own Gail Kroll, plus specialty acts by John McMahon, Dennis Marks, Bruce Richardson, Jack Crowley, and Tom Cass.  In addition, 60 student dancers will show off their moves.   You can vote for them all, or purchase tickets, at  http://masconometeducationfoundation.org/dwts.  And don’t forget, all funds raised will support the new STEM lab at Masco.  So vote early and vote often, and build that lab for our kids!

Dancing with Our Stars

The event of the season is coming!  Masconomet Education Foundation’s Dancing With Our Stars will take place Saturday, Jan. 30, at Diburro’s in Haverhill, and you don’t want to miss it!  This year’s dancers represent all three towns: Beth Aylmer, Juliana Capillo. Chip Goudreau, Mike Linehan, Grid Losee, Jamie Luce, Dawn Seymour, Jon Sorenson, Jamie Tveter, and MEF’s own Gail Kroll, plus special acts by John McMahon, Dennis Marks, Bruce Richardson, Jack Crowley, and Tom Cass.  The website opens Dec. 1; last year’s event sold out, so buy your tickets now!

Seating falls into three tiers this year: VIP $75, Premium $60, or Classic $50.  Tables will be assigned at time of purchase; the sooner you buy, the closer your table will be to the dancers (within your tier).  To be seated together, tickets must be purchased in the same transaction.

To purchase tickets or to vote for your favorite dancers, visit http://masconometeducationfoundation.org/dwts.  And don’t forget, all funds raised will support the new STEM lab at Masco.  So vote early and vote often, and build that lab for our kids!

Masco’s Digital Learning Future

Save the Date!

Thursday October 29th, 6:30-8:00 p.m.

Masconomet High School Library

Masconomet continues to be on the leading edge of the use of technology in teaching and learning. We are getting ready to move to the next phase of a 1:1 device learning environment with a formal implementation next year for 9th and 10th graders. This information and feedback session will be of particular interest to parents of current 8th and 9th grade students. We hope that there is general interest in the direction we are

mapping out and hope that the interest extends to our elementary school families in the Tri-town area.

Come to this meeting to learn:

·        What device will 9th and 10th grade students be asked to bring to school next year?

·        What will the cost be for families?

·        Will 11th and 12th graders be allowed to bring their devices and connect to the Masco network?

·        Can Middle School students bring their own device to school and connect to the network?

·        How are computers being used in instruction and why do students need to have one for classes?

·        Will computers be in constant use by students or during parts of the school day for specific activities?

·        What is the vision for the future of digital learning at Masconomet?

And, come to this meeting to ask questions, make suggestions, and share concerns.
