Wednesday--Watch Thirteen Days with Kevin Costner
Thursday--Also for Monday read Chapter 8, Sxn 1 page 232-239 and complete the worksheet given in class and shared with you via email! Except a quiz!

Monday, March 19th--Finish watching Thirteen Days and type a 1-2 page movie review responding to the following questions: Did you like the movie why or why not? After doing some research, (on the site listed below,) was the movie historically accurate? What did you learn about JFK and the American Presidency from watching the film

There will be one section where the president and the major event (9/11 & George W) will be included so study those presentation notes

There will be another section where the issues will be presented and you will need to know how the presidential nominees feel about each issue

Gap between the conflicting roles--head of state vs. head of gov’t
Requirements to run for president--salary that they make
Electoral college--why was it created, how does it work, what was the intention of the college?
What are the president’s executive powers, legislative powers and judicial powers?
