SENIOR INFORMATION


NCMC for the first time is offering Dual Credit Scholarships- The scholarship will be given to one dual credit student in each service area. Each scholarship will be a one time award for $270 to use toward tuition. Deadline to apply is 10/3/16!


Applications are available for the Wendy's High School Heisman Awards- this award is intended for well rounded seniors who reach higher in every aspect of school and life. Students can apply at wendysheisman.com. Deadline to apply is 10/3/2016.


Applications are available for the Prudential Spirit of Community Awards Program. This award is meant to recognize students who have made meaningful contributions to their communities through volunteer service. Applications are available at http://spirit.prudential.com. Deadline to apply is 11/8/16.  


Applications are available for the Hagan Scholarship Foundation awards. The Hagan Scholarships are intended for high achieving students who will require financial assistance in order to attend college. Applicants must have a 3.5 or higher GPA, 23 or higher ACT, have worked at least 240 hours in the prior year and must complete the 2016 FAFSA and show an EFC of $7500 or less. The scholarship application can be accessed at www.hsfmo.org deadline to apply is 11/15/16.


Applications are available for the Elks National Foundation Most Valuable Student Scholarship. This very competitive award with most finalist being in the upper 5% of their class. There will be 40 $1000 awards given on the state level in addition to the 500 awarded nationally. The form is available online at enf.elks.org/mvs. Applications are due 11/30/16.


Applications are available for the AXA Achievement Awards. Applications are available at www.axa.com/achievers and are due by 12/15/16. 

The Yellow Creek Gobblers NWTF Chapter in Linn Co. is offering a $500.00 scholarship to one Linn County graduating 2017 Senior. The local winner will then be eligible for the state wide scholarship ($1,000.00) and after that, if a winner, the national level,($10,000.00).  The Scholarship is due by December 31, 2016.

Applicants must live in Linn Co to be eligible.Application by mail to Dennis Paalhar 28274 HWY F, Brookfield, MO 64628 or give it to  Brydon Smith, Scott Henderson or Ken Polly, again this deadline is December 31, 2016.



Applications are available for the 2017 GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program. This program provides college-bound students with $10,000 renewable scholarships for promising young leaders with drive, integrity and citizenship. Applications and more information can be found at reaganfoundation.org/scholarships. Deadline to apply is 1/5/17. 


Applications are available for the James L. and Nellie M. Westlake Scholarship Program. This award pays college tuition, fees, books and supplies for four years of college. Applicants must be Missouri residents attending a Missouri college with a minimum 2.5 GPA and a family adjusted gross income of $50,000 or less. Applications are available at https://www.scholarsapply.org/westlake.  Deadline to apply is 2/1/17. 


Applications are available for the national and local Chariton Valley Scholarships. Applicants must be customer of Chariton Valley Telephone Corporation (landline service).  Applications are available at www.cvalley.net. Completed applications should be sent directly to Chariton Valley Telephone Corporation and must be postmarked by 2/3/17.


Applications are available for the 2017 Ray-Carroll County Grain Growers Scholarship. Applicants must be children of Ray-Carroll members or members of Ray-Carroll themselves. All applications and supporting materials must be in the Richmond office by Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017. 




Applications are available for the Mediacom Communications $1000 non-renewable scholarship. Students are not required to be Mediacom customers. Applications are available at www.mediacomworldclass.com. All complete applications must include an essay, transcripts and two completed recommendation forms. Deadline to apply is 2/17/17. 

The Missouri Gaming Association is pleased to announce the 2017 Project 21 Scholarship program.  The Project 21 Scholarship Program provides students an opportunity to disseminate their message by writing and article or creating a poster or video addressing the issue of underage gambling. The Kansas City Associated Equipment Distributors have developed a scholarship for students interested in pursuing a post-secondary education in Heavy Equipment and Diesel Engine Repair. Applications are available from Mrs. Potter and are due by March 1, 2017. 


Applications are available for the Delta Kappa Gamma Education Scholarship. This award is for high school senior girls who plan on pursuing a college degree in a field related to teaching. All applications must be returned by 2/27/17 to Terri Willard 1604 Morningside Drive, Chillicothe, MO 64601 or emailed to gpwillard47@yahoo.com.


Applications are available for the Chapter R Laclede PEO Scholarship. This organization is seeking applicants who are planning on continuing their education after high school and are in need of financial support. Applications must me competed and returned to Barb Richmond, 1000 Cole Street, Laclede, MO 64651 by March 1, 2017.


Chariton County Mutual Insurance is offering Missouri Association of Mutual Insurance Companies scholarship application. MAMIC gives 8 $1000 awards to Missouri High school seniors Applications need to be returned to the Chariton County Mutual office by March 1, 2017. 


Applications are available for the Farmers Mutual Insurance of Linn County - Missouri Association of Mutual Insurance Companies Scholarship. The award is open to any high school senior advancing to college. Applications must be received in the Meadville office no later than 5 pm on March 1, 2017. 



 

Applications for the the Elks Legacy Awards Scholarships for graduating children or grandchildren of members in good standing for at least two year are available online at enf.elks.org/leg.  Deadline to apply is 3/3/17.


Applications are available for the Missouri Association of Rural Education Scholarship (MARE). The goal of this program is to attract quality students to enroll in teacher education programs. Criteria for this award is academic achievement, leadership and interest in teaching in rural school systems. Application deadline is 3/10/17.



Applications are available for the Missouri Women's Golf Education Association Scholarships. Theses awards are for graduating Missouri women for their high school academic record, community service activities, leadership and golf achievements. Application criteria can be found at http://www.mowomensga.org/scholarship-application/. Complete applications and supporting documents must be typed and postmarked by 3/11/17. 



Chariton County Mutual Insurance Company is offering their scholarship to all interested seniors who are planning on furthering their education. One $500 award will be given to a Marceline High School graduate. Applicants need not be Chariton county residents. Deadline to apply is 3/15/17.


Applications are available the MFA Exchange Foundation Scholarship. This award carries a value of $2000 and can be used at an accredited college or university. Applications need to be returned to Mrs. Potter by 3/15/17.  


Applications are available for the Whitetail Unlimited -Central Missouri Chapter Scholarship. Applicants must be a high school senior graduating that is an avid outdoor hunter. Preference will be given to anyone pursuing a degree in conservation. One winner will be given in Marceline and one in Brookfield. Deadline to apply is 4/30/17. Applications are available for the St. Bonaventure Knights of Columbus Scholarship.  Applicants must have a parent that is a member. Deadline to apply is March 31st. 


Macon Electric Foundation is offering their first annual scholarships. They will be giving  8- $1000 awards to graduating seniors . Applicants must reside in their service area but do not need to be customers, they must be continuing their education and in financial need. Applications will be due 3/31/17 and mailed to Macon Electric Foundation, PO Box 157, Macon, MO 63552. 




Applications are available for the Mothers' Study Club Scholarship. Applicants must be graduating seniors from Marceline High School furthering their education at a college, university or technical school. Applications must be returned to Mrs. Potter by March 31st .



The Missouri Insurance Education Foundation provides scholarships for four Missouri high school graduating seniors interested in or intending to pursue an insurance, risk management or actuarial science course of study.  Visit www.mief.org to download the application and for more information. Deadline to apply is 3/31/17.



Applications are available for the Marceline Lions Club Scholarship. This award is open to any Marceline High School graduating senior. Applications are due in Mrs. Potter's office by March 31, 2017.


Applications are available for the Mrogenski Educational Trust Scholarships. These $1000 awards are open to seniors who plan on furthering their education and there will be 5 awards given. Applications are due to Mrogenski Educational Trust Scholarship Committee, C/O John E. Casey, P.O. Box 159, Brookfield, MO 64628 no later than 5:00 pm March 31, 2017.  

Applications are available for the Quy Nguyen Scholarship. This award is intended for students entering fields that are math or science related, but all majors will be considered. All applications will need to be turned in to Mrs. Potter no later than 3/31/17.

Applications are available for the Blanche Maxwell Melvin Scholarship in honor of Reuben B. Maxwell. These awards carry a value of $1000 and awarded to students residing in Linn County and have the desire to further their education. Deadline to return applications to Mrs. Potter is 3/31/17

Applications are available for the Wiseman Scholarship. This $2500 award is open to Marceline High School graduates furthering their education. Deadline to apply is 3/31/17.

Applications are available for the John and Donna Moore Family Foundation Scholarship. This award carries a value of $5000 for up to four years of college. Qualifying majors include , but not limited to: Engineering, Mathematics, Secondary Math or Science Education (9-12), Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Earth Sciences, Preparatory Studies for advanced health degrees ( Pre-med, Pre Physical Theraphy, etc)  Deadline to apply is 3/31/17.

Applications are available for the Marceline CTA Scholarship. This award if for any senior who plans on entering the field of education who for a senior whose parent is a member of the organization. All applications are due to Mrs. Potter no later than 3/31/17.

Applications are available for the Marceline Masonic Lodge #481 Scholarship. This application is for anyone planning on furthering their education. All applications need to be turned in to Mrs. Potter by 3/31/17.



Applications are available for the Marceline FFA Foundation Scholarships. Applicants must be current Marceline Senior FFA members to apply.  Applications must be postmarked by March 31, 2017.  Mailed to:  Marceline FFA Foundation, P.O. Box 212, Marceline,  MO  64658.  

The Missouri Rural Water Association is offering 4 college scholarships for the 2017-18 academic year. Two scholarships will be awarded to enrolled college students and two to graduating seniors. The scholarships are awarded to children, stepchildren or dependents of employees of Missouri Rural Water Association. Applications must be postmarked by March 31, 2017. 


The Linn County Republican Women are awarding a Patriotism Scholarship. This award is open to any anyone planning on furthering their education, who has a 2.5 GPA and has outstanding citizenship and character. Applications must be postmarked by April 1, 2017. 



Applications are available for the Frances Zurcher Washam and Bill Washam Scholarship. Applicants must be planning on entering the field of education, have a 3.0 GPA and a ACT score of 21.  Applications are due to Mrs. Potter by 4/1/17.


Applications are available for the Macon County Cattlemen's Association Scholarship. Applicants must be current members of a Macon County 4-H Club, Macon County FFA chapter or a Macon County Cattleman or Junior Cattlemen and/or have a parent grandparent or spouse that are current members. Applications must be turned in or postmarked no later than April 1, 2017. 

Applications are available for the Marceline Alumni Association Scholarship. Applicants must be Marceline high school seniors who are planning on furthering their education.  Applications must be turned into Mrs. Potter's office by  April 3, 2017.


Applications are available for the Linn County Retired Teachers and Public School Personnel Scholarship. Applicants must be planning on entering the field of education. All applications need to be returned to Mrs. Potter by April 3rd!  


Applications are available for the Marceline Volunteer Fire Department Scholarship. Any graduating senior planning on furthering their education may apply.  All applications are due to Mrs. Potter by April 7, 2017.  

Applications are available for the Marceline Area Chamber of Commerce Scholarship. Any senior may apply. Deadline is 4/8/17. 


Applications are available for the Marceline Kids Wrestling Club Scholarship. Applicants must be graduating seniors who have wrestled all 4 years of high school and that had a minimum of 2 years of Marceline Kids Wrestling  and plans on attending a post secondary learning institution in the fall. Deadline to apply is 4/12/17.


The Prenger Family Scholarship is available to Marceline high school seniors . This award is for any graduate entering a vocational or academic program after graduation. Completed applications need to be turned into the guidance office by the end of the school day April 13, 2017.


Applications are available for the Ben Burnett Democrat Memorial Scholarship. This $300 scholarship is to a graduating senior. Applications must be postmarked to Donna Switzer, 32782 Little Road, Bucklin, MO 64631 by April 13, 2017. 


Applications are available for the Linn County Farm Bureau Scholarship. Parents must be a member of the Linn County Farm Bureau. Deadline to apply is 4/14/17 by 12:00pm.


Applications are available for the Farmers Mutual Insurance Company of Linn County Scholarship. The award is for any senior advancing to college regardless of field of study. All applications must be received in their office by 5 pm April 14th, 2017. 


Applications are available for the 2017 Fraternal Order of Eagles, Marceline #726 Scholarship. Students must have a mother or father that belongs to the Marceline Aerie or Auxiliary Fraternal member of the #726 for at least one year. Applications must be received no later than April 15, 2017. Applications are available for the Marceline Rotary Club Scholarship. Any Marceline High School Senior can apply. Deadline to return to guidance office is 4/15/17.




The Brookfield Elks Lodge is offering scholarships to graduating seniors who has a parent, step-parent or legal guardian that is a member in good standing of the Brookfield Elks Lodge. Deadline to apply is 4/15/17 and must be done on the original form available from Mrs. Potter. 


The American Legion of Missouri offers several scholarships- all applications are available online at their website  www.missourilegion.org and are due April 20, 2017.
     Charles L. Bacon Memorial Scholarship-applicant must be a descendant of a member  of the American Legion. 
     Erman W. Taylor Memorial Scholarship- applicant must be descendant of a veteran.
     Joseph J Frank Scholarship- applicant must be a descendant of a veteran. 
     Lillie Lois Ford Scholarship- applicant must have attended Missouri Boys or Girls State
     M.D. Jack Murphy Memorial Nurses Training Scholarship- applicant must be attending school to become a registered nurse and the descendant of a veteran. 
     Shane Dean Voyles Memorial Scholarship - applicant must have been an active participant in high school activities- each high school can submit only one application- this needs to be turned in to Mrs. Potter prior to the deadline.

Applications are available for the Linn County Community Chorus Scholarship. Selection is made on the basis of those choosing music as a major first if no applicants indicate music as a major, applications are considered for someone who will be majoring in another subject and participating in music as an elective.  Deadline to apply is 4/24/17.  All applications need to returned to Jinny Moore, Vice President,

Nursing School Almanac has launched its third annual Aspiring Nursing Scholarship. Scholarship is open to all high school seniors who plan to pursue a college education in nursing. Interested students may visit www.nursingschoolsalmanac.com and click the banner on the right hand side of the homepage. Applications will be accepted through June 30, 2017. 


Applications are available for the Merrell University of Beauty Arts and Science, of Jefferson City and Moberly.  The scholarship is worth $1000 toward tuition.
