This original A-67 made its only flight October 2006, ending with a landing gear collapse. 

Monett, Missouri-based Golden is funded by US Aircraft to complete the first 50h of flight testing, says Goldsmith, adding: "Hopefully we will build the next few prototypes to evolve the design." The long-term plan, he says, is to build the aircraft in Canton, Ohio.

The US Aircraft A-67 Dragon is a single-engine, propeller-driven, ground-attack aircraft. It is designed for counter-insurgency(COIN), close air support (CAS), and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) missions
