Continue to work on your Final Project.

Remember we only have a few more weeks.  Your project should include an animate that you created and also multiple levels/scenes or a scrolling screen.

If you feel you have finished a level/scene, its a good idea to have a peer test it and give you feedback on what they liked and what suggestions they might have for improving it.

4/17 Class- Changing Scenes or Levels

posted Apr 17, 2018, 8:05 AM by Erica Bertucci

There are many ways to change scenes or levels.  We talked about 2 today in class:
1) Using multiple backdrops in the STAGE
2) Using multiple sprites that you draw backgrounds/levels/scenes on OR using one sprite with multiple costumes

Here is our code:
code for when your sprite touches some sprite that signals the end of a level or scene:
also think about using this code (and adding where the sprite should be in the next scene/level)

2) USING MULTIPLE SPRITES for switching scenes/levels
code for sprite that is your character and you want the scene to change when it touches another sprite:

Design your final Project

posted Mar 20, 2018, 7:23 AM by Erica Bertucci   [ updated Mar 20, 2018, 7:25 AM ]

This year we are going to use scratch for our final project.  You will model your project after one of the Game Styles you were introduced to in CS-First.  Second and third year students:  We challenge you to pick 2 styles and mix them for your final project.

Before you begin your game, you are expected to fill out this planning sheet:

Make a copy of it and add your name to the beginning of the title

Here is a folder to add your project to (also add this folder to your drive):  Final Projects Folder
