Barnes and Noble have picked the Manchester School District as their recipient for their Holiday Book Drive. Every year, Barnes and Noble places books in large bins near the checkout line to be purchased and then donated to the Barnes and Noble recipient. The Manchester School District was chosen last year as well, and because of this, Jewett Street School received two large boxes full of great titles that are now on the school’s library shelves for students to take out. Please keep this in mind if you venture over to Barnes and Noble for some holiday shopping and we thank you for your continued support.

Students may shop at the book fair during their regular library time this week but all of the family can shop on Wednesday night. We will have a book swap with Mrs. LaSalle in the gym, along with some activity stations. And, there is the book fair in the library. It will be setup differently from last year so hopefully overcrowding will not be an issue. Today, Monday, April 14th is the end of our book fair online. There is still time to visit our Online book fair homepage, any books purchased online will be delivered to students at school the week after the book fair closes. We hope to see you at the Family Event!http://bookfairs.scholastic.com/homepage/jewettelementaryschool
