Warren Nickerson

This year begins Warren Nickerson's 25th year as an educator.  Warren truly admires the qualities of Manitoba educators with whom he has worked: their passion, intellect, empathy, patience, and grit.  Warren has held an array of roles in educational leadership, including high school department head, provincial assessment consultant, divisional consultant for curriculum in rural and urban settings, and (now) a school vice-principal.  His passion is English language arts and literacy, and he spent 13 years in middle and high school ELA classrooms.  He has earned a master's and Ph.D. in Education (Curriculum: language and literacy) from the University of Manitoba.  Warren is a member of Manitoba ASCD, currently serving as the organization's past president.
