posted Apr 5, 2018, 5:17 PM by Lynda Matchullis

Do you know where a new service program comes from?  It starts with conversations throughout the year at our network meetings and with our facilitators.  Hearing from our members is critical so we begin to ask what should we keep doing and what should we do differently when we are talking to superintendents, curriculum coordinators, lead teachers, principals and those in the classroom.  We share our preliminary thinking with our stakeholders and partners before the final version is released in the spring.  Right now, we are in the midst of getting that feedback.  Watch for the 2018-2019 Details of Services, as it will be out soon!

posted Nov 3, 2017, 10:45 AM by Lynda Matchullis

Do the numbers.  It was a full-house with about 100 Grade 3-8 math teachers attending Carole Fullerton’s 1.2.4 Multiplicative Thinking session on Nov. 1.  One “aha’ moment was when Carole challenged the group to go deeper by teaching their students to recognize different types of multiplication word problems.  Is the problem based on row, group, rate, or a combination?
