Whats Happening at school in Term 3 2019?

Our focus this term is Hauora (health). A big part of this will be how to be a happy, kind, positive and engaged learner at Mangonui School. Alongside this we will be following the children’s interests and exploring things like trajectory (how far can we make things move) and construction. We will also investigate insects, NZ birds and whatever else the children want to explore. We have a few other things on the go this term, including cross country and we will practice for this on Mondays and Wednesdays in the lead up to the inter-school cross country in week 7. Please make sure your child comes to school in comfortable footwear on these days. Pukeko will again be participating in Junior Kapa Haka once a week and you can find our waiata on our class site. We also have a Rangikapiti planting day, Maths Week and Te Wiki o te reo Maori to look forward to.

12 - 16 August - Maths week

Tuesday 3rd September - Cross Country - Peria School.

9 - 13 September - Te wiki o te reo Maori
