On Tuesday April 24th, Malahide Community School will be hosting a Wellbeing Expo to showcase the work that we do in promoting Wellbeing in the school and in the local community.  The centrepiece of this Expo will be the Malahide CS Wellbeing 5K which will be open to the general public.

The exposition will be held in the canteen and will take the form of a number of displays and demonstrations showcasing how the school promotes healthy eating, diet, physical exercise, civic duty, mindfulness and other elements of student and staff wellbeing. The event will take place from 6.00pm to 9.30pm with the Wellbeing 5K starting at 7.15pm.

The Wellbeing 5K will start and finish in the school grounds and will bring you through the beautiful surroundings of Malahide Castle and gardens. You can register for this event online at Myrunresults.com.

The entry fee is €15 and the first 200 registrations are guaranteed a commemorative t-shirt with the possibility that more will be available on the night!

A special rate of €8 will apply to any student of Malahide Community School who wishes to participate in the Wellbeing 5K.  If interested, students should return the  entry slip, which is available in the main office and the fee in an envelope to the main office by Friday 20th April at 4.00pm.  Children under the age of 12 are free and do not need to register but must be accompanied by an adult.  Online registration for the general public will close at 6.00pm on Sunday 22nd April.  On the day registration will take place in the school building and will be available between 5.00pm and 6.45pm. Category and spot prizes will also be presented on the night.

On another note, if, on the evening of the event, you would be available to help in a voluntary capacity, your assistance in staging the event would be most welcome and we would ask that you make contact by email to malahidecs5k@gmail.com

Further information can be found at the event Facebook page ‘Malahide CS Wellbeing 5K’ or alternatively by email to malahidecs5k@gmail.com

We look forward to seeing you on the evening of the event.
