Congratulations to one of our TY students who represented our school at the opening of Ireland's first permanent exhibition of our Irish Flag, in the GPO History Museum.  The event took place on Friday, 23rd February and one of our students and Ms Cora M.Tighe attended.   Our student met Senator Mark Daly, FF, who was instrumental in making this exhibition a reality and who was directly involved in the National Celebrations in 2016.   The exhibition seeks to promote pride and respect in the Irish flag and to better understand its importance in promoting peace and inclusion on the island.  Mr Manning received the invitation from the Ceann Comhairle, Mr Seán ó Fearghaíl, TD, to attend this event.  The event took place on the 170th Anniversary of the first flying of the Irish flag, by Thomas Francis Meagher.  A huge 'Thank you' to our student for representing our school so well!
