The Winter is here!  Happy February!!

Hello!  Enjoy these highlights from the Forum! During these chilly winter months consider writing a piece to submit to the Forum for publication!!  They are always looking for members to share their experience, strength and hope!!  Writing guidelines are online!!

If your meeting does not have a subscription, please order one for them.  My goal is for each meeting in the State of Maine to have a subscription!  If you are not able to pay for a subscription…. Please message me and we will be giving several free subscriptions away in the next month as some wonderful Al-Anon member donated $55 to pay for 5 Forum subscriptions!!

SHARE HOW YOU HAVE BEEN HELPED BY CAL! In what ways has CAL affected your recovery? A little bird told me if you write on the CONCEPTS or TRADITIONS you have a good chance of being published!!  It can be a fun time for your Group to get together! Send comments to: with CAL Corner in the subject line…deadline is 15th of each month!

This month’s message is “Recovery through Laughter!!” Annie from Florida shares how the laughter in the rooms…despite everyone’s pain…has taught her to lighten up.

Dr. Don from Ohio shares his struggle and agony over his son’s addiction. Realizing that even with all he knew, he could not save his own son’s life.  But Al-Anon saved him.

Teri, from CO, shares about out this year’s conference theme “There is No standing still”

in Al-Anon. She shares about her time in service and how it gave her Al-Anon journey a sense of purpose.

There is a GREAT piece on learning to care for ourselves! Charlotte, from Georgia, shares of her journey and what it took to FINALLY put the focus on herself and heal.

Al-Anon’s convention is on July 6-8th 2018 in Baltimore,MD

Tradition 2   Honoring the decisions that the group makes is so important.  Our Group conscience is the way we handle that.

Concept 2  Talks about authority and responsibility….And how many hands make for light work.

Alateen celebrates 60 years!!  Consider being an Alateen sponsor, ordering some Alateen literature for your Al-Anon meetings or dropping some Alateen literature off at your local JR and SR High school!  Remember we WELCOME teens into our Al-Anon meetings and want them to feel welcome!
