Information for Summer Tutoring 2018

For the past fourteen years, Maine Township District 207 has partnered with Districts 62, 63, and 64 in a summer collaborative experience where high school students work as tutors and mentors to grade school students participating in their district's summer school programs.

The summer programs range from skill building classes to enrichment opportunities and include children from ages 5-13.  High school students hired to work in these programs are placed in summer classrooms based on their strengths and interests.

The selection process for summer tutors is highly competitive.  Every year, we hire a diverse group of young people to not only work in our community, but also to represent Maine Township District 207 as ambassadors to the future students of our district.

THE APPLICATION PERIOD for 2018 is now closed. Students who are still interested in tutoring this summer, but who miss the application deadline should consider the summer internship with Mrs. Archer (sarcher@maine207.org) or contact Dr. Laura Cook (lcook@maine207.org) to see if there are any last minute openings.
