During the recent Club de Madrid Global Solutions Summit in Little Rock, Arkansas, Dr. Philippidis met with leaders of several US corporations to discuss sustainability initiatives, including Mr. Willy Foote, Founder and CEO of Root Capital (Cambridge, MA).  The company finances the deployment of agricultural technologies around the world to enhance rural prosperity.  Mr. Foote is the grandson of Senator J. William Fulbright, who established in 1946 the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship Program for international educational exchange.  He leads an effort to mobilize thousands of Fulbright Scholars to assist in promoting sustainability and is keen on partnering with USF’s Patel College of Global Sustainability to advance this goal in the US and worldwide.  Dr. Philippidis was the recipient of the Fulbright Scholarship last year.
