International Experiences

Emma lived in Lee-on-the-Solent, Hampshire England from 1993 to 1998.  She visited many areas of the UK, France, and Spain during that time, but would be thrilled to have the chance to travel more of Europe!  In 2005, Emma had the opportunity to return to England.  She and her family visited Bath, London, Lee-on-the-Solent, and Stratford upon Avon.

During the summer of 2012, Emma had the chance to return to Europe through a USF Honors College sponsored study abroad class.  By taking the Honors course Germany: Beyond the Classroom, Emma  got to spend two weeks in Osnabrueck, Germany.  With excursions to Cologne, Wiemar, Berlin, Dresden and Kalkriese, the experience was a wonderful introduction to Germany, its culture, history and language.  The experience inspired Emma with the desire to travel Europe, and specifically Germany, more extensively in the future.

Excited by her travels to Europe, Emma applied for, and was accepted into, a spring break service trip to the Dominican Republic.  This 2013 spring break she will visit the DR and volunteer in small village clinics helping under privileged areas receive quality medical care.  She is very excited to get to travel again as we'll as gain volunteer experience in a medical setting.
