Welcome to FHSU Writing Center!


We strongly encourage our clients to make appointments prior to coming to the Writing Center. While a limited number of walk-ins is offered, booking an appointment will assure consultant availability at a given time.

Booking an appointment will require you to create a student account at the appointment site. Once you are at that site, please click on "Student login" and follow directions from there. Please be advised that it may take up to a minute to for your account to be created. If you experience any technical difficulties, please email us at WritingCenter@fhsu.edu, and we will be happy to assist you.

When booking an appointment, you can select a specific consultant to work with. Their profiles may be accessed on the left bar menu.


The Writing Center offers a series of grammar workshops. They are meant to address common editing problems. Click here for dates and to find out more.

What to expect at your appointment

When you arrive, a Writing Center consultant will ask you to fill out an intake student information form online. After this step is completed, you will have approximately 30 minutes to work with a consultant on your writing assignment. At the conclusion of your appointment you will be asked to complete an online session evaluation form.
