  • Seniors: the optimist club of Peachtree City has scholarship opportunities.  Stop by Room 817 for information.
  • Seniors: do not forget you can still buy your senior ads for the yearbook, and if you have already purchased one please get your senior ad information to Ms. Coleman as soon as possible
  • Girls Lacrosse tryouts will be next week on Tuesday January 22 and Wednesday January 23 from 4 PM to 6 PM.  Anyone interested in trying out must have a physical on file by this Friday. Please see Coach Lehmon in room 637 before school if you have any questions.
  • Starr’s Mill will be hosting a Poetry Out Loud contest on Wednesday, January 23 immediately after school in room 723.  If you enjoy poetry and performing, this contest is for you. If you’re interested in competing, please email Mr. Kendall or drop by room 723 sometime this week.
  • SkillsUSA will have a meeting tomorrow before and after school
  • Science students performed very well at Science Fair yesterday.  Third place winners were Luke Wittbrodt, Will Swanson, Gabe Rogers, Lance Martin, Anders Christensen, Addison Eickman, and Abby Gedeon.  Second place winners were Kayden Parker, Jessica Hall, Sadie Mullinix, Myla and Jacqueline Reardon, Shelby Gray, and Makaylee Robinson. First place winners who will advance to region are Greg Gould, Keerat Rahman, Teja Pulagam, Caleb Nichols, Audra Daniel, Kayla Murray, and Wyatt Koth.
  • Reminder for students applying for AP classes for the upcoming school year: The online applications are due Thursday by 8 PM
  • Attention all Beta Club members: our first meeting of the semester is this Thursday at 8 AM or 3:50 PM in the auditorium.  See you there!
  • Girls tennis tryouts are Jan. 15th and 16th from 4:30-6 pm at the peachtree tennis center. Boys tennis tryouts are Jan. 17th and 18th from 4:30-6 pm at the peachtree tennis center.
  • Anyone interested in trying out for cheerleading during the 2019-2020 school year should attend an informational meeting on Thursday, January 31 immediately after school in the cheer building.  The meeting will last about 20-30 minutes. Please see Coach McNally in 617 with any questions you may have.
  • Applications to be on next year’s newspaper staff are now available. If you are interested in joining the growing, award-winning Prowler program at Starr’s Mill, see Mr. Spencer in 703 for an application packet. The Prowler is looking for writers and photographers. Applications are due January 30th.
