Key Stage 4

PHYSICAL EDUCATION

All pupils take part in core Physical Education lessons.  A variety of activities are studied during the key stage with greater emphasis now being placed on pupils continuing to be active after leaving school.  These activities are rotated every half term.

In addition to these activities there will be 1 or 2 optional activities per half term that the pupils can chose to try instead of their allocated activity for that half term.  If pupils show an interest they will receive a letter with a reply slip.  Places on these activities will be filled on a first come first served basis until maximum capacity for that particular activity has been reached.  Some of the optional activities require payment either because they are not based at school or because outside coaches are brought in to teach the classes.

All current Key stage 4 activities are listed below, however new activities will be added if interest from pupils shows a demand and provided it is possible to run them.
