Password Protect Files

To encrypt your file and set a password to open it:

  1. Click the File Tab

  1. Click on Permissions & choose Encrypt Document

  1. Enter a Password & Click OK. Repeat.

  1. Save your document.
IMPORTANT: Your password is not recoverable – if you forget your password, you  will not be able to access your file at all.
