MABS 202 ONLINE

What will you learn in MABS 202?

MABS 202 is a comprehensive course on Microsoft PowerPoint 2013.  PowerPoint allows you to create presentations that deliver a dynamic, professional-looking message to an audience.  PowerPoint allows you to produce slides to use in an academic, business, or other environment.  Custom slides can fit your specific needs and contain diagrams, charts, tables, pictures, shapes, video, sound, and animation effects to make your presentation more effective.

How do you get started?

If you have registered for an online course, you will receive an email from CCSF with your log in information for Insight (the online course management system used at City College).  This email will be sent to your CCSFmail account, which is automatically created for all registered students.  The email is generally sent the Friday before classes begin (approximately).  The Educational Technology Department will only use student CCSFmail accounts (Google email).  For help on setting up your CCSFmail account, or forwarding your messages to another email address, go to http://knowinsight.ccsf.edu/category/330/0/10/Student-Support/CCSF-Google-email-Gmail/Email-Setup/.  There are also links for help on the Insight home page.

The address for Insight is http://insight.ccsf.edu (there is no www in the address).  Your username will be your student ID.  If your ID begins with @, use an X instead of the @ symbol.  Your password will be provided to you in the email sent to your CCSFmail account a day or so before the first day of class.  You will be prompted to change your password the first time you enter the one sent to you.  I recommend that you write your password down in case you forget it.  I cannot retrieve passwords.  You will have to click the "Lost Password" link on the Insight home page.

You will not have access to the course before the first day of the semester.
